Amodei Sinks In Public Support, Poll Shows

A new pollthis week suggests that Representative Mark Amodei’s vote to repeal portions of Obamacare could be a costly one in 2018.

Amodei is the Republican congressman representing the 2nd district in Northern Nevada, and joined leaders of his party to vote for the American Health Care Act, which guts certain provisions of Obamacare.

Amodei had originally said he was a “no” vote on the legislation, and then flipped his decision after a meeting with House Speaker Paul Ryan. A poll commissioned by Save My Care, a health care advocacy organization, shows a net negative opinion of Amodei, voters in the district rated him unfavorably by 48 to 35.
