Higher Ed Acting Chancellor Doesn't Want Permanent Post

The Nevada System of Higher Education’s acting chancellor has removed himself from consideration for the permanent post.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, John White wrote in a letter delivered Monday that a dispute within the board about him being appointed to the position permanently factored into his choice to step down.

White’s current contract expires in June. Regents were expected to appoint White to the job at a meeting Tuesday, but the meeting was canceled Monday.
