The U.S. Forest Service is set to launch an environmental review of a proposal to renew and expand the Lee Canyon Ski Resort.
The development plans include new ski runs, lifts and snowmaking equipment, as well as downhill bike trails and a roller coaster to attract more visitors in the summer.
Its expected to take up to 18 months to complete the review and issue a final decision on the expansion plans. The forest service will accept public input on the matter through Monday.
