The Nevada Department of Transportation announced it will undertake $8.7 million in highway improvements for Nye County.
The upgrades will include a section of Highway 160 near mile marker 26.5 known as Johnnie Curve.
Construction is set to begin in March and be completed by late fall. Plans call for 14 miles of mill and overlay along the highway from East Basin Avenue to the area north of Bell Vista Avenue.
