The number of international arrivals and departures is taking off at McCarran International Airport, where officials tallied nearly 4.3 million passengers coming and going in October.
Monthly data released Monday by the airport in Las Vegas showed a 4.2 percent rise in traveler traffic last month, compared with October 2015.
Those numbers include a 10 percent jump in passengers from international destinations.
The Clark County Department of Aviation says the airport has handled close to 40 million passengers this year, putting it on track to beat last year's 45 million — and maybe the record 48 million in 2007.
Southwest Airlines remains busiest carrier at the airport, handling more than 1.6 million passengers in October.
American reported a 2.6 percent decrease in passenger traffic compared with October 2015, while United reported a 4.7 percent increase.
