Fallen Climber Rescued At Red Rock Canyon

A climber who fell 60 to 80 feet at Red Rock Canyon has been rescued this morning.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the man was climbing last night inside Black Velvet Canyon when he fell.

Upon rescue, the man was taken to University Medical Center for evaluation. His injuries aren't life-threatening.

Black Velvet Canyon is in the south part of the Red Rock Canyon conservation area, accessible from Highway 160.
