Assembly Race Heads To Recount After One Candidate Leads By 38 Votes

Officials planned to recount the ballots in a Nevada Assembly race that the Democrat appears to have won by 38 votes, but the Republican incumbent conceded.

The Washoe County Registrar of Voters was expected to recount more than 30,000 ballots this week in the Assembly District 31 race.

Democrat Skip Daly was 38 votes ahead of incumbent Republican Assemblywoman Jill Dickman in unofficial results. The contest was the only legislative race that was too close for The Associated Press to call.

Daly previously served two terms in the seat before Dickman unseated him in the 2014 election.
