Officials: No Arrests, Few Disruptions At Nevada Vote Sites

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities in Nevada reported no arrests and few disruptions at polling places during voting Tuesday in hotly contested presidential, state and local races.

A spokeswoman for Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske said Wednesday that a statewide command center logged no serious incidents.

In Las Vegas, Clark County school police say a man who wanted to accompany ballots to a counting center was escorted away from a high school polling site.

School police Capt. Ken Young says the man wasn't arrested.

American Civil Liberties Union legal affairs director Amy Rose says a similar incident occurred at Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, with no arrest.

In Henderson, a city spokeswoman says police were unable to locate a man a man dressed in black who a caller from a library polling site considered to be suspicious.
