Rock in Rio, the music festival that had a Las Vegas iteration in May 2015, doesn't look set to return next spring.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports MGM officials haven't received any kind of notification the groups that organize Rock in Rio want to bring the music festival back to town.
Until then, the future of the festival is in kind of a holding pattern.
The weekend-long music festival was held at MGM's festival grounds on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, and attracted far fewer attendees than originally expected.
While MGM did not disclose how much money it lost on the event overall, the Review-Journal reports it may have lost upwards of $25 million.
