Clark County officials have pushed back against Donald Trump’s campaign manager and the Nevada Republican Party chairman after allegations that polls were kept open late in a heavily Latino Las Vegas neighborhood Friday.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the county had record-setting turnout Friday, which was the last day of the two-week early voting period. Democrats had a six percent turnout lead across the state.
A Clark County spokesman says closing time wasn’t officially extended Friday, but voting sites stayed open to accommodate all voters in line. He said most or all polling places in the area did the same thing.
The last early vote cast in Clark County was at 10:10 p.m. Friday at a suburban shopping center, not the site in question.
