LAS VEGAS (AP) — Motorists are facing another overnight traffic jam at the busy "Spaghetti Bowl" interchange in downtown Las Vegas.
State transportation officials said Monday the transition ramp from northbound Interstate 15 to northbound U.S. 95 will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.
That's the ramp from the Las Vegas Strip area toward Summerlin and northwest Las Vegas.
Officials say a detour will direct drivers to southbound U.S. 95 to exit at Las Vegas Boulevard to loop back onto U.S. 95 northbound.
Crews plan to remove an electronic sign to make way for a carpool flyover bridge.
A similar ramp closure last month created significant traffic delays.
The work is part of the $1 billion Project Neon, to widen congested I-15 between Sahara Avenue and the Spaghetti Bowl.
