Capstak considered New York and Tel Aviv for a headquarters before landing on Reno. Company officials say Reno was an ideal environment for the fledgling company.

Capstak will be based out of the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center in downtown Reno, which also houses the Nevada Advanced Autonomous Systems Innovation Center and has links to tech company Switch.
