Utah Selling Land Near Zion National Park
Utah's School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration is auctioning off property near Zion National Park next month.
The Spectrum reports that the 200-acre site is located in Washington County's Cave Valley area. It's part of more than 3,500 acres being sold during the administration's biannual public auction on Oct. 19 in Salt Lake City.
The Cave Valley property is advertised as an ideal spot for outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, sightseeing, camping and fishing. It's next to the popular Lambs Knoll hiking area.
The trust lands administration is asking for a minimum of $860,000 for the property.
Other lands up for sale are in Box Elder, Carbon, San Juan, Uintah and Wayne counties.
Proceeds from the sales are used to fund Utah schools.
