Residents in Mohave County will pay higher rates for electric service starting Sept. 1.
The Havasu News reportsthat UniSource Energy Services customers will pay a basic service charge of $15, and that customers’ average monthly bill will increase by about $4.
The increase follows nearly a year of negotiation between UniSource and the Arizona Corporation Commission. After review by ACC and a series of public hearings that yielded public criticism of the rate hikes, UniSource’s proposal went through several drafts before it was approved earlier this month.
