Carolyn Goodman Rules Out Endorsing Clinton Or Trump

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman has ruled out endorsing either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump in the forthcoming presidential election.

In an interview with The New York Times, Goodman said she was not backing Clinton's run for the presidency, or Trump's.

She said she hopes "somebody shows some leadership" before November.

The role of Las Vegas mayor is a non-partisan position, and Goodman is registered without party affiliation.

Goodman has endorsed others in this election cycle, notably Republican Joe Heck in his bid for Harry Reid's seat in the Senate, and Democrat Ruben Kihuen's bid for a seat in the U.S. House.
