Southern Nevada Under Air Quality Advisory Warning

Southern Nevada is under an air quality advisory warning for ozone through Friday.

The Clark County Department of Air Quality on Wednesday issued the warning for potentially elevated levels of ground-level ozone pollution.

Officials say summertime weather conditions contribute to the pollution but that unhealthy levels of ozone aren't currently occurring.

Young children, the elderly and those with respiratory problems or cardiac disease may become sensitive to any rising ozone levels.

The National Weather Service is forecasting for temperatures in Las Vegas to reach between 105 and 109 through the weekend.
