LAS VEGAS (AP) — A judge has dismissed the case of a Republican Assembly candidate who alleged elections officials made errors in a race that she lost.
Judge Elissa Cadish dismissed former candidate Tina Trenner's case on Tuesday, saying there wasn't grounds for Trenner to challenge the election and there wasn't evidence of an error sufficient enough to change the results.
Trenner lost to Pahrump Republican Assemblyman James Oscarson by 133 votes.
She pointed to voter registration cards sent in December to two precincts that listed the wrong Assembly district. Clark County elections officials say the error was fixed in January and correct sample ballots were mailed out.
Trenner didn't produce evidence that voters declined to cast their ballots because of the issue.
Five other Republican Assembly candidates are challenging their primary losses.
