LAS VEGAS (AP) — One of six Republican Assembly candidates who's challenging election results after losing in the primaries is headed to court.
A judge is holding a hearing Tuesday for Tina Trenner's legal challenge. She lost a race against Pahrump Republican Assemblyman James Oscarson by 133 votes.
She's suggested that voting machines may have malfunctioned and wants to see the hard copy paper records that back up the electronic records maintained by the machines.
Clark County Registrar Joe Gloria says there were no notable problems with the machines and such a count is unnecessary.
Five other Republican candidates challenging their results include Diana Orrock, Steve Sanson, Connie Foust, Mary Rooney and Blain Jones. They ran on anti-tax platforms and all lost by at least 100 votes.
