Valley Electric Association customers in Nye County may see their rates go up.
The Pahrump Valley Times reports the co-op's board will consider raising rates this Thursday during a meeting.
Outside consultants have recommended VEA raise rates by just under 10 percent starting the first of July.
Earlier, VEA had considered raising rates next January, but may accelerate those plans based on the results of the work done by the aforementioned consultants.
VEA last raised rates six and a half years ago by just over six percent.
