Las Vegas casino owner Steve Wynn reportedly attempted to broker peace between the Republican party’s presumptive 2016 nominee and the man behind George W. Bush’s successful presidential campaigns.
According to The New York Times, Karl Rove and Donald Trump held a secret meeting two weeks ago at Wynn’s Manhattan home.
The meeting’s purpose wasn’t clear, but Rove was the last strategist to help get a Republican president elected.
Previously, the two men had publicly insulted each other and showed no signs of wanting to work together.
