Officials in Mohave County are set to consider whether or not a solar power plant should be built north of I-40.
The Mohave Daily News reports the proposed 200 megawatt plant would be built east of Golden Shores.
However, it does not look likely that the plant will be built.

Last month, the county's planning and zoning commission recommended the plant not be built, saying they didn't have enough information about the project to sanction it.
The project would require rezoning the land where the plant would be built.
Sterling Solar, the company proposing the plant, had asked for more time to gather information the commission wanted, but the commission denied their request for a time extension.
