Culinary Union To Represent Trump International Workers

The Culinary Union Local 226 has announced it is now representing employees of the Trump International Hotel off the Las Vegas Strip.

In a release Monday, the Union said it and the Bartenders Union Local 165 were certified by the regional director of the National Labor Relations Board as the workers' bargaining representatives.

The Union says more than 500 workers will be represented.

This comes after a protracted battle for representation.

In December, a majority of workers voted for representation, but Donald Trump and Phil Ruffin, who co-own the property, fought it.

The Union says management at the Trump International will seek to have the National Labor Relations Board in Washington review the decision, as management is unhappy with it.
