UNLV Breaking Ground On $57M Building For Hotel College

LAS VEGAS (AP) — UNLV is breaking ground on a $57 million academic building for its hotel administration program.

Guests at the Wednesday afternoon ceremony include members of the Nevada Board of Regents and UNLV President Len Jessup.

The Hospitality Hall will include 93,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory and meeting space at the center of campus.

It'll be a new home for the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration, which is currently sharing space with the Lee Business School.

About half of the funding is coming from private donors in the gambling and hospitality industry, while the other half was approved by the Nevada Legislature last spring.
