Airport officials in Las Vegas say 3.4 million people flew in and out of the destination in February, a nearly 9 percent increase compared to a year ago.
McCarran International Airport released statistics Thursday that show traffic was up 8.9 percent last month compared to February 2015.
The number of passengers so far this year is also up 8.1 compared to the first two months of last year.

There was also a 10.2 percent increase in the number of travelers on domestic flights but a slight decrease of 2.8 percent among passengers on international flights.
The numbers overall continue to show a strong 2016 so far after 2015 resulted in the third highest passenger count in airport history with more than 45 million passengers total.
