Nevada Revokes Medicaid Billing Privileges For Operator Of Group Home Infested By Bed Bugs

The operator of a group home infested by bed bugs will no longer be allowed to bill Medicaid for mental health services.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports Silver State Behavioral Health Rehabilitation is banned from caring for Medicaid patients for seven years. 

Owner Larry Carter, says he’ll close his two houses, one in Reno and one in Sparks. Carter says he can’t afford to keep the houses open without Medicaid support. Current residents in the houses will have to find new living arrangements.
