Metro Officer Dragged By Vehicle During Traffic Stop

A Las Vegas police officer has been injured after being dragged by a suspect during a traffic stop.

KLAS-TV reports that the officer was dragged for a short distance on Wednesday. He suffered some minor abrasions and road rash.

Police say they were unable to identify the woman driving the car and asked her to step out of her vehicle. When an officer reached from the passenger side to pull the keys out of the ignition, the woman took off, dragging an officer on the other side of the vehicle.

The driver's car was stopped and police say she again tried to take off, ramming a patrol car behind her. Another officer busted her car window, stopping her, and took her into custody.
