Lovelock Inmate Dies At Reno Hospital

A Nevada prison inmate serving a life sentence has died.

The Nevada Department of Corrections says 65-year-old Mark Clewis died Friday night at a Reno hospital.

Corrections officials did not release further details.

The Washoe County coroner's office is planning an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Clewis was convicted in Clark County in 1992 and was being housed at Lovelock Correctional Center.

He was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole for multiple convictions including grand larceny, being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
