Cox cable subscribers in Las Vegas could wake up Saturday without the CBS affiliate television station KLAS on channel 8.
The contract between the cable company and TV station is set to expire at midnight Friday.
There's been months of negotiations for a new deal but there's a dispute about how much the dominate cable company should pay the legacy broadcaster that will air Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7.

KLAS said on its website that it and other local broadcasters are severely underpaid compared to what Cox pays a station like ESPN.
Cox in an email to customers Thursday said KLAS was unrealistic and out of line for seeking a rate increase three times the current price.
