Regulatory Moves Don't Dampen Big Gun Industry Show In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Weapon enthusiasts and manufacturers at a big industry trade show in Las Vegas have their sights set on the newest guns and gear, not on President Barack Obama's efforts to tighten gun regulations following mass shootings around the country.

SilencerCo chief executive Josh Waldron says America is a gun culture, and all the president is doing is helping the industry sell more weapons than ever.

The Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show, or SHOT Show, is drawing some 62,000 people this week to the Sands Expo Convention Center.

He says sales spike after every headline-grabbing mass shooting like Paris and San Bernardino.
