Audit Calls To Dissolve Or Replace Taxicab Authority

State auditors condemned southern Nevada’s Taxicab Authority for exorbitant fees and an over-reaching board that could be a liability.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the internal audit suggests the Taxicab Authority should be disbanded and replaced by regulators within Clark County or the Nevada Transportation Authority.

The Transportation Authority already regulates ride-sharing companies, taxis and limos statewide, but not in the Las Vegas area.
