Sharper Sentencing Rescheduled For March

Sentencing has been reset to March 17 in Las Vegas for former NFL star Darren Sharper in a felony attempted sex assault case that's part of a four-state plea agreement.

Defense attorney Richard Schonfeld and a court clerk corrected the date Thursday.

Sharper is expected to appear in Clark County District Court by video from Louisiana, where he's jailed after pleading guilty last June to three rape charges.

Sharper pleaded guilty last March in Las Vegas to attempted sexual assault.

His plea deal calls for the 40-year-old Sharper to be sentenced to 38 months to eight years, but serve his Nevada time at the same time as sentences from California, Arizona, and state and federal courts in New Orleans.

Those sentences are expected to amount to about nine years.
