Nevada Gaming Revenue Slides In October

Gaming revenue in Nevada fell last month as compared to this time last year.

The latest figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board show that, statewide, casinos took in over $887 million in October 2015.

However, that's down 2.85 percent from October 2014.

Across Clark County, revenue was down 4 percent as compared to this time last year.

The Las Vegas Strip, downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and the Boulder Strip all saw declines in gaming revenue, while Laughlin and Mesquite posted gains.

In Elko County, though, results were a bit brighter … the county posted an overall increase in gaming revenue of 8.33 percent.

Statewide, revenue during this fiscal year is down just under one percent as compared to last fiscal year.
