CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Republican former U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle acknowledged a group is pushing her to run again for Democratic Sen. Harry Reid's seat, but she isn't committing to doing so.
Angle was vague about a potential Senate bid when asked about it Thursday at a press conference in Carson City for a proposed state ballot measure she's promoting.
She pointed reporters to the "Run Sharron Run" website that's raising money and encouraging her candidacy, and said she's "looking for interest."
Angle lost a Senate bid to Reid in 2010. Rep. Joe Heck is the Republican favorite to replace the retiring Reid in 2016.
State Sen. Don Gustavson, who's one of three Republican Nevada lawmakers who hasn't endorsed Heck, said he'd endorse Angle if she runs because she's conservative and keeps her word.
