Many Washoe Schools Return To Normal After Norovirus Outbreak

Officials say most Washoe County public schools affected by a norovirus outbreak in the past month have returned to normal thanks to the fall break.

The Washoe County Health District says of the 15 schools that were on outbreak status, nine have returned to normal, non-outbreak status. Six schools remain on alert for norovirus outbreaks,

Officials say roughly 1,760 students and staff at 20 schools and a few daycare centers have been afflicted with norovirus over the past month.
