McCarran Traffic Grows Year-Over-Year

The number of passengers flying into and out of Las Vegas grew nearly 6 percent year-over-year in September to 3.7 million travelers.

McCarran International Airport announced Thursday that passenger traffic has increased 5 percent in 2015 so far compared to a year ago.

The airport reports its largest carrier Southwest Airlines ferried 4 percent more travelers than a year ago. The airport's top five carriers all reported increases for the month except for American Airlines whose traffic dropped 2.8 percent.

The airport says U.S. traffic increased 6 percent to 3.3 million passengers and international travel increased 4 percent to 307,998 travelers.
