Nevada Gaming Revenue Slides For Another Month

Gaming revenue statewide fell for the third consecutive month. That's according to the latest report from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The state's gaming licensees made just over $908 million in August, but that's nearly a 1.4 percent decline from this time last year.

In Clark County overall, table game revenue was down nearly 15.3 percent.

The news isn't all negative, though -- slot machine revenue in the county was up by almost 14 and a quarter percent. Casinos in downtown Las Vegas posted a double-digit revenue increase, as did those on the Boulder Strip and in North Las Vegas.

Laughlin casinos also posted a revenue increase.

But casinos along the Las Vegas Strip posted a revenue decrease of 4.66 percent.
