CCSD Schools Win National Blue Ribbon Awards

Three Clark County schools won national blue ribbon awards today.

Sig Rogich Middle School in Las Vegas, and Sue H. Morrow and Glen C. Taylor Elementary Schools in Henderson won the awards, which are bestowed by the federal Department of Education.

A total of 335 schools nationwide took home the awards. They're given for overall academic excellence or for making progress in narrowing achievement gaps among certain demographics.

This is the seventh straight year CCSD has received at least one blue ribbon award, and the first year that more than one school was selected.

They are the only schools in the state to receive the award this year.
