LAS VEGAS (AP) — The head of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is due to focus during a state-of-the-campus speech on plans to elevate the school to "Top Tier" status.

UNLV President Len Jessup is due to make his first State of the University address on Thursday afternoon at the Judy Bayley Theatre on campus.

Jessup took over as president in January. He wants the school recognized by 2025 as a top tier public university in research, education, and community involvement.
