Police in Las Vegas say a 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested in a vehicle shooting that critically wounded a motorist who crashed near a middle school.
Records show that Tyrone Pedro Bell and Ashley Carswell were arrested Wednesday and are being held at the Clark County jail in Las Vegas pending initial court appearances in Tuesday's shooting near Brinley Middle School.
Each faces conspiracy, attempted murder and weapon charges, and police say Bell will also face an assault with a firearm charge.
Police say the wounded driver crashed his car and was hospitalized in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
The shooting prompted a school lockdown while police investigated, but no children were injured.
It wasn't immediately clear if Bell and Carswell had lawyers representing them.
