Ride-hailing company Lyft now has a permit to operate in Nevada.
The Nevada Transportation Authority approved the company's application on Monday, several months after state lawmakers passed a law authorizing so-called transportation network companies. The firms allow people to hail a ride in someone's personal car using a smartphone.
Regulators told Lyft it needed to make technical changes to language related to insurance disclosures, and needed to reword a section of its legal disclaimer that absolved the company of liability if a driver falsified their identity.
It wasn't immediately clear when the company will be on the road in Nevada. Lyft may have no more than 2,500 drivers in Nevada under its license conditions.
Regulators are also reviewing an application Monday from Uber.
