City Approves Plans To Build New Supreme Court Building Downtown

The Nevada Supreme Court's office in Las Vegas will be moving.

The Las Vegas Sun reports the Las Vegas City Council approved plans today to build a new courthouse downtown.

It's expected to open late next year, and would house the Nevada Court of Appeals as well as staff for the high court.

Currently, the Court's offices in Las Vegas are in the Regional Justice Center, but the Court said it needed more space than what was currently available.
