Nevada Investigating Case Of E. Coli In Lovelock Prison

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Prison officials say they're investigating one confirmed case and two suspected cases of E. coli bacteria at Lovelock Correctional Center in northern Nevada.

The Nevada Department of Corrections said Thursday that the agency is working with the state's Division of Public and Behavioral Health. A state lab and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are testing samples.

The emailed statement from the Department of Corrections doesn't say if the case involves a prisoner. It notes no other inmates or the general public are suspected of having E. coli.
