9 Poker Players To Win At Least $1M, Face Off In November

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The battle to be one of the last nine card players in the World Series of Poker's premier event is expected to end after one more session of poker.

For each of the last nine players, the no-limit Texas Hold 'em tournament promises at least $1 million and a return trip to Las Vegas in November when players will compete in the final table. The winner will claim $7.7 million and the event's coveted gold bracelet.

The World Series of Poker has been crowning a champion since 1970 when it was invite-only and the players voted on the ultimate winner. It's now an over-the-top poker showcase involving thousands of players from all kinds of backgrounds.
