Man Says He Wants Money To Return Stolen Reno Dog

RENO (AP) — Reno police are looking for a stolen Siberian Husky and the person who claimed to have the puppy but was putting a price tag on his return.

KRNV-TV reports that a 17-year-old girl reported that the 3-month-old Husky named Keoni had been stolen this week.

Police say a male texted the girl and told her he had Keoni. He said he wouldn't give her back the dog unless she paid him $345. The girl had offered $50 on her lost-dog flier.

Police say the man would not meet with the victim, and the cell phone he was using has been disconnected.
