Las Vegas attorney Joe Brown resigned his post at the Nevada Gaming Commission Thursday, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Brown had been a member of the commission since 2008. He sighted personal reasons for his departure.
The governor is expected to accept Brown’s resignation Friday and start the process of appointing a replacement.

Brown was on the board for some high-profile events including the licensing of Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and the SLS Las Vegas. He was also part of the Caesars Entertainment bankruptcy case.
