Michele Fiore in an open letter released today said she was wrongly removed from her position as leader of Nevada Assembly Republicans. The letter sent to Assembly Speaker Designate John Hambrick said he had no authority to remove her and that she and many Republicans in the Assembly still consider her the leader.
She said it was up to members of the Republican caucus to vote her out. She said she plans to be in the Majority Leader's office on January 5.
Hambrick removed Fiore as the Assembly’s majority leader and chairwoman of the powerful Assembly Taxation Committee following revelation of her tax problems with the IRS.
