Passenger Traffic Up At McCarran

Passenger traffic at McCarran International Airport was up 2.7 percent in September compared with the same month last year, according to data out Monday, as more than 3.5 million people arrived and departed from the Las Vegas airport.  The number of passengers flying domestically, the vast majority of traffic, was up 1.7 percent, while international traffic was up 12 percent for the month.

Total traffic at the airport is up 2.4 percent this year compared with the same period last year . McCarran ranks as the ninth-busiest airport nationally. Southwest is by far its largest carrier, while United, Delta, American and Spirit round out the top five.
