Young Poker Player Becomes Sport's Newest Star

A 23-year-old Boston poker player defeated the reigning World Series of Poker Player of the Year in a special tournament in Las Vegas. Daniel Colman of Massachusetts won the Big One for One Drop poker event held at the Rio Hotel and Casino. He defeated Canadian poker star Daniel Negreanu for a $15 million pay out. It was the one million dollar buy-in charity poker tournament created for the One Drop Foundation, a nonprofit created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte. Negreanu took home eight million for second place. More than $4.5 million was raised for the foundation.
