Flood Waters Causing Problems In Parts Of The Valley

The arrival of the monsoon season may help to cool parts of the valley but it's causing flooding problems for residents living in parts of the Las Vegas Valley.

People in the Grand Teton area are dealing with moving waters and mud blocking major intersections even keeping some people stuck at home. Residents in the Stone Mountain community dealt with more than a foot of water and mud. This is runoff is coming from Mount Charleston and much of the fire damage from last year's Carpenter One wildfire.

The city of Las Vegas is currently installing a $15 million flood control plan on a two-mile stretch of Grand Teton though it won't be finished before the end of the year.
