A woman who was part of a lawsuit against the state's health exchange has died after waiting months for coverage.
Linda Rolaine and her husband had trouble signing up with the Nevada Silver State Exchange going back to the fall. They finally got through in January but didn't receive their insurance cards until May. And that's when Rolaine was finally able to get the brain surgery she needed except that she had a difficult recovery and eventually passed this week.
The state's health exchange was plagued with problems on its website and phone banks. Earlier this year Gov. Brian Sandoval and the Nevada state health exchange fired Xerox, the company paid to build the website. Nevadans will now sign up through the federal health exchange.
